Groesbeck Choir Club

St. Augustine once wrote the sentiment that the one who sings prays twice.  There is something about singing that lifts our spirits.  Studies have shown that regular singing increases dopamine in our bodies, which is one of the chemicals that bring good feelings.  There are indications that singing can boost our immunity, help us bond with others, may improve sleep, memory and heart functioning.

A singing opportunity for junior high and high school students begins on Tuesday, September 12 at 4:00 pm at Groesbeck Middle School.  It is the Choir Club that meets as part of the After School program called ACE.  The Choir Club sings uplifting music with no audition required.  Youth may reap the benefits of singing mentioned above.

Even if you are not in junior high or high school, start singing to lift your spirits and help your general health!
